Position
Asset Management Data Specialist (SAP), Edmonton/Remote
Location and Reporting Structure
Reporting to the Director, HME, this position is a maternity leave coverage role for up to 18 months and is based in Edmonton, AB, or remote within Canada .
Responsibilities
• Maintain the integrity of the equipment register by accurately recording and updating asset information.
• Ensure that the project objectives and outcomes in both Project Management (PM) and maintenance management are positive.
• Maintain up-to-date and aligned Software Design Document (SDD), workflows, procedures, and training documentation with final design decisions.
• Develop and implement quality process and procedure for ensuring consistent setup of assets across the group.
• Implement governance processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency across all assets and asset reporting structure, templates and reports.
• Collate all PM related data required for migration into SAP for both HME and FP.
• Lead the migration of asset data and maintenance plans into SAP, ensuring data integrity and consistency throughout the process.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of SAP modules related to asset management and maintenance.
• Identify and recommend improvement initiatives in ERP-PM and asset management process and procedure.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams and conduct audits, analysis of asset register according to schedule.
• Facilitate periodic reviews of assets with the maintenance managers to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Support the capital planning process by aiding managers in developing and constructing strategic asset plans and forecasts.
Desired Competencies and Requirements
• Five (5) years’ in asset management, ERP development/implementation, PM data management, systems engineering or accounting preferred but not essential, recent graduates will be considered.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP modules (e.g., SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, SAP CRM, etc.).
• Understanding of the basics of asset management, strategy, life cycle, depreciation and disposal process.
• Project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, priorities, and deliverables.
• Certification such as SAP Certified Application Associate, is considered an asset.
