Superintendent, Organizational Development, Edmonton

 

 

Location and Reporting Structure 


Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, this position will be based in Edmonton, AB

 

 

Responsibilities 

 

•    Lead the design, development, implementation, and review of organizational development policies, programs, training frameworks, and work instructions aligned with operational priorities and Company standards.
•    Drive implementation of the Inuit Training Plan by translating approved guidance into sequenced learning pathways, consolidating delivery resources, and coordinating departmental contributors and stakeholders to achieve implementation readiness.
•    Design competency-based curricula and learning materials that define learning objectives, delivery methods, assessment requirements, qualification criteria, and advancement pathways for consistent and measurable workforce development.
•    Plan program resourcing and logistics, including facilitator capacity, schedules, delivery locations, materials, systems, vendor support, and budget inputs, to support practical delivery across Edmonton and Nunavut operations.
•    Establish program governance, performance measures, and reporting for participation, completion, competency attainment, advancement, retention, and other approved indicators, maintaining reliable records and providing timely analysis to the implementation team and senior leadership.
•    Partner with Human Resources, site leaders, departmental subject-matter experts, and Inuit employment and training stakeholders to evaluate outcomes, resolve delivery barriers, and continuously improve programs, policies, and work instructions to meet operational, safety, cultural, and organizational requirements.

 

 

Desired Competencies and Requirements 

 

•    Minimum seven (7) years of progressive experience in organizational development, learning and development, human resources, education, or workforce capability, including responsibility for multi-department program design and implementation, preferably within mining, heavy industry, remote operations, or Indigenous workforce development.
•    Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Adult Education, Learning and Development, Education, or a related discipline.
•    Advanced knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional and curriculum design, competency frameworks, training-needs analysis, program and project management, resource and logistics planning, policy and work-instruction development, learning evaluation, performance metrics, and management reporting.

 

 

Compensation and Benefits


For informational purposes, the annual salary for this role is $159,500.00 


B2Gold Nunavut offers a competitive compensation package, including salary commensurate with experience, knowledge, and skills, plus a group benefits package for employees and their dependents.
