Position
Fuel Coordinator, Nunavut
Location and Reporting Structure
Reporting to the General Superintendent, Supply Chain, this position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate proper fuel handling, storage, receipts, transfers, and offloading across Winter Ice Road (WIR), Sealift, and site operations; Monitor inventory levels, perform counts, and support fuel replenishment planning and forecasting.
• Complete reconciliations (e.g. tank dips, system checks, calculations etc.) and investigate discrepancies, variances, and consumption trends.
• Maintain accurate fuel records and generate inventory, consumption, and reconciliation reports using Excel, SAP, and fuel systems.
• Inspect fuel storage and dispensing facilities, support quality monitoring, and report maintenance or compliance issues.
• Collaborate with departments and auditors to ensure accurate reporting, documentation, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Comply with all company policies, safety standards, environmental requirements, and applicable regulations.
Desired Competencies and Requirements
• Three (3) years of experience in inventory control, materials management, fuel operations, or a similar coordination role in a remote or Arctic environment; experience in mining, construction, or industrial operations.
• High School Diploma required. Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is considered an asset.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills with experience in record-keeping, inventory reconciliation, and discrepancy investigation; familiarity with SAP, ERP, Fuel Management Systems, or fuel/bulk liquid environments.
Compensation and Benefits
For informational purposes, the estimated annual earnings are $113,685.00 for 2184 scheduled hours (combined regular hourly rate of $41.25 and overtime rate of $61.88) in a work year.
