Position
Superintendent, Human Resources, Nunavut
Location and Reporting Structure
Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, this position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.
Responsibilities
• Oversee daily site HR operations, ensuring compliance with B2Gold Nunavut’s policies, procedures, relevant labour laws and legal requirements;
• Address employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary actions. Conduct investigations and ensure issues are resolved in a fair and consistent manner;
• Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of HR policies and procedures that support B2Gold Nunavut’s objectives, targets, goals and ensure a safe working environment;
• Promote a positive work culture through effective communication and employee engagement initiatives;
• Lead HR projects and initiatives, such as diversity and inclusion programs, employee wellness, and career development plans;
• Direct performance management, providing guidance on addressing performance issues and employee development plans;
• Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs to enhance employee skills and competencies; and
• Analyze HR data to generate actionable insights and KPIs for decision-making.
Desired Competencies and Requirements
• Seven (7) years of HR experience, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory role, preferably in the mining or heavy industrial sector;
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management or Business Administration;
• Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is required; and
• Demonstrated experience in conflict resolution and proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
Compensation and Benefits
For informational purposes, the estimated annual earnings are $170,000.00 plus 15% bonus.
